Agrippinella

Agrippinella brings rose pink to a class of flowers dominated by blues and purples. The doubled form opens full and layered, deep rose pink washed over a white background so the color reads warm rather than flat.

Registered by Ophelia Straw in 1979 and introduced the following year, it's one of the older varieties in our collection — a reminder that plants bred four decades ago can still hold their own against modern introductions. Standing 39 inches with midseason bloom.

Japanese irises want moisture, especially through spring bloom season, and slightly acidic soil — they won't tolerate lime. Full sun gives the best performance. Hardy in zones 4–8.
