Cascade Crest

Cascade Crest is a clean, classic Japanese iris — a white ground veined and rimmed in blue violet, with a yellow signal anchoring each fall. The blue violet edging traces the outline of the petals, giving the flower definition and a crispness that reads well in the garden.

Registered by Terry Aitken in 1988 through Aitken's Salmon Creek Garden in Vancouver, Washington. It's also a parent plant in our own collection — the seed parent of 'Above and Beyond', which we grow as well. Plant both to see the line carried forward.

Japanese irises want moisture, especially through spring bloom season, and slightly acidic soil — they won't tolerate lime. Full sun gives the best performance. Hardy in zones 4–8.
