’Crayola Kiss’ is a stunning, highly regarded cultivar. Hybridized by Lee Walker and registered in 2004, it was introduced to the market via Wildwood Gardens in 2005 and received the American Iris Society's Honorable Mention in 2009. 
Unlike the gently arching "hugo style" common to many Japanese irises, ’Crayola Kiss’ features the traditional "edo style" flat form, making its intricate patterns highly dramatic when viewed from above. It is a "double" variety featuring 6 falls (petals) rather than the standard three. 
Petal Base: A clean white ground overlayed with intense, striking violet veining and a matching red-violet halo.
Edges: The petals finish with a distinct, dark violet edge.
Signals: A vibrant, medium-yellow triangular signal marks the base of each petal.
Style Arms: The prominent style arms are dark red-violet, tipped with grey, and detailed with red-violet veining.
Height: It typically reaches a mature height of 33 inches (84 cm) on sturdy, erect stems.
Foliage: Features dense clumps of upright, narrow, sword-like bright green leaves that offer exceptional vertical structure in the landscape.
Bloom Time: It produces its eye-catching flowers during the midseason of the summer iris cycle (typically early to mid-summer).
